Figure skating

At the heart of our training philosophy lies world-class infrastructure, tailored to meet the needs of elite figure skaters.

Our athletes train in a modern ice arena that includes two professional rinks:

  • A main competition rink (28×60 m) with spectator seating for 1,200, ideal for control skates and showcases.
  • A training rink (26×56 m), perfectly suited for daily technical work and choreography sessions.

In addition to the ice surfaces, skaters benefit from access to an integrated performance environment, including:

  • A fully equipped choreography and ballet space with mirrors
  • Dedicated gym and 60-meter indoor sprint & plyometric track
  • Physiotherapy, massage and recovery zone
  • Meeting rooms for performance review and planning
  • Kit drying rooms, sharpening facilities, and athlete laundry services

All facilities are within walking distance from the academy residence at Saimaa Life & Light, creating a safe and seamless daily rhythm.
  • Whether it’s jump technique, spins, expressive choreography or injury prevention, every detail has been considered to support athlete growth at the highest level.
